Brief about İUMTEK
İUMTEK is a cleantech startup. The company was co-founded with CEA Investissement, the CEA’s venture fund, and has a research partnership with the CEA’s energy research division (since October 2017).
İUMTEK designs industrial chemical analyzers in situ and in real-time. These devices use laser-induced plasma spectroscopy (LIBS for Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy). Heated by laser, the material locally forms a plasma analyzed by a spectrometer. Its emission lines are compared to a database that detects the elements present and their concentrations. This technique makes it possible to analyze all the types of materials.
İUMTEK presents its TX 1000 LIBS analyzer at CES. This versatile instrument can quickly and reliably detect elemental chemicals in solids, liquids, and gases. This technology could, for example, monitor and analyze air quality in real-time and quickly alert manufacturers and authorities in the event of pollution.

İUMTEK @ CES 2021
With the focus area for Medicine of the future, iUMTEK will present a demonstrator that measures ultrafine particles (under 0.1 μm). There is currently no solution on the market for this type of analysis. And, given the growing use of nanoparticles in a wide variety of products (paint, cosmetics, food, etc.), this technology of analysis will be instrumental in improving industrial performance. iUMTEK is helping to bring LIBS technology, ideal for in situ real-time monitoring and diagnostics, to the market.
