Founded in October 2017, iUMTEK is at the heart of today’s societal concerns: increasing recyclability rates (Li-ion batteries, etc.), promoting short supply chains, mitigating risks (e.g. SEVESO site monitoring), addressing pollution (nanoparticles, smoke control), optimizing industrial production and the extraction of critical and strategic raw materials, and advancing green chemistry and new nuclear energy.
Our commitment is to ensure quality and safety in industrial processes through real-time analysis, enabling companies to produce better, faster, cleaner, and at lower cost.
Our Technology LiBS
We offer solutions based on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), an advanced technology used by NASA.
Thanks to this method, our instruments can identify and quantify all 118 elements of the periodic table in liquids, solids, or gases — without the need for sampling or preparation.

Backed by over 25 years of R&D by CEA and ORANO, with investment support from CEA Investissement, iUMTEK is a Deeptech & Greentech company that launched a new generation of instruments capable of detecting elements in solid, liquid, or gaseous materials.
These instruments are based on LIBS technology, Artificial Intelligence, and specialized sensors.
This innovation enables instrumentation to move beyond its traditional market (the lab), and into real-time, in-line industrial environments — including harsh or hostile settings (Industry 4.0 and New Nuclear).
